No combo pauses:
Turn on the game, then immediately press Left, A, B, Up when Pikachu smiles at the opening screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Skill chains and combos will no longer stop the blocks.

Turbo mode:
Turn on the game, then immediately press B, A, Left(2) when Pikachu smiles at the opening screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. The game speed in marathon mode may now be increased up to 99.

S-Hard mode:
Select challenge mode in a one player game, where you battle the Gym leaders. Hold Select and press A at the difficulty selection screen. A new "S-Hard" mode will appear, allowing the game to be played at a super hard difficulty.

Intense mode:
After completing normal mode with hatching at least one egg and having at least six Pokemon, go to challenge mode and start a new game. Highlight "Hard" at the difficulty selection screen, then hold Select and press A. The "S-Hard" difficulty selection will appear. Highlight it, then hold Select and press A. The "Intense" difficulty setting will be unlocked.

More options:
Press Select + A at the options screen to display more selections.

Bellossom:
Play single-player challenge under the normal difficulty setting. Defeat any Gym Leader in less than 25 seconds before reaching Clair, to face a trainer named Lass. Defeat her to unlock Bellossom.

Elekid:
To unlock Elekid, defeat Lance and Dragonite under the hard difficulty setting. You can use him in marathons, time zone, and garbage.

Igglybuff:
To unlock Igglybuff, play the game for a while. You will obtain it without knowing it early on in the game, and you can use it in Marathons.

Marril:
Play single-player challenge under the normal difficulty setting. Pull off a 4 block-combo before reaching Clair, to face a trainer named Swimmer. Defeat him to unlock Marril.

Pichu:
Play single-player challenge under the normal difficulty setting. Stay undefeated for more than 4 minutes to face a trainer named Pokefan. Defeat him to unlock Pichu.

Pikachu:
Play single-player challenge under the normal difficulty setting. Pull off a 6 block-combo before reaching Clair, to face a trainer named Gentleman. Defeat him to unlock Pikachu.

Sentret:
Play single-player challenge under the normal difficulty setting. Pull off a 7-chain before reaching Clair, to face a trainer named Beauty. Defeat her to unlock Sentret.

Togepi:
Play single-player challenge under the normal difficulty setting. Pull off a 10 block-combo before reaching Clair, to face a trainer named Pokefan. Defeat him to unlock Togepi.

Bellossom:
Play single-player challenge under the normal difficulty setting. Defeat any trainer in under 25 seconds or less before reaching Clair to face a trainer named Lass. Defeat her to unlock Bellossom

Pichu:
Last 4 minutes or more before you defeat any trainer, before reaching Clair. You will now fight a Pokefan for her Pichu.

Hint: More damage:
If you use Pokemon that the gym leader's Pokemon is weak against, your attacks will do a bit more damage.

Hint: Save time:
Try to figure out the solution to a puzzle before the timer starts, since most puzzles require a minimal amount of moves and can be done very easily.

Hint: Hatch eggs:
Play all the modes to hatch the eggs quickly.

Hint: Defeating Bruno and Hitmontop:
Try to win quickly against Bruno and Hitmontop, because he is able to pull off very long chains quite frequently. If you can, try to make your own chain while blocks are disappearing. This trick works most of the time.

Beauty Is Skin Deep
Finally reaching the outskirts of Blackthorn City, Ash pushes to quickly seek out the gym where he hopes to earn his final Johto badge. Before he has the opportunity, he chances into a Dratini and learns that its eager trainer, Clair, is in fact the Blackthorn Gym leader.

Team Rocket steal the Dragon Fang as Ash begins his battle for the final Johto badge with Clair. Then TR get Dragonite on their side to help them escape.

Great Bowls Of Fire
Ash's Charizard flys in and lands on Ash. Leeza also lands in on Charla who is in love with Charizard. Rocket find a bowl in a Dragon Shrine which upsets Dragonite and causes a fire in a field. So Ash, Leeza and Clair set to put out the fire to save wild Pokemon. After the fire is put out, TR is greatful that they were saved from the fire. Dragonite is under an attack rage and starts attacking Clair, Ash and the gang. This leads to a battle between Dragonair and Charizard versus Dragonite which ends his attack rage.

   Future Episode MQ42

Better Eight Than Nothin
Ash's battle with Claire begins right away and Ash uses Snorlax, Pikachu and Charizard. Meanwhile, Team Rocket dig underground to get back the Dragon Fang but end up meeting Charla. Ash wins his 8th gym badge and is allowed to enter the Johto League as Leeza, Charla and Ash's Charizard fly off.
